  1. Ok, well I have one skinwalker story. I am not sure of the details of the actions of skinwalkers, so I will relay the story exactly as it was told to me, whether the facts are correct or not have nothing to do with me. I have an aunt who works at a University in Arizona. This school is located within walking distance of a reservation so there is a large native american population at the school (including faculty). Anyway, my aunt has a good friend who she has know for over 20 years. This woman was 100% native american. She was raised on the reservation but never really bought into the folklore of skinwalkers, until a few years ago. It had come to light in the recent years that her father had been engaged in a long term affair with a woman who was regarded in the community as being a witch. When this woman's mother found out about the affair, she decided that it would be best for everyone if her and her husband tried to work through their problems. Her husband agreed and proceeded to break off the relationship with the witch. When the witch was confronted with this she vowed that she would not rest until this man's family was in the same emotional pain as her. The man thought nothing of this comment and commenced with healing the relationship with his wife and family. About three months later the man had a massive heart attack and was on his death bed. The family called in a shaman (or whatever a holy man is called in their belief system) to say a prayer for him and his family. Upon the shaman laying eyes on this man he pulled his wife aside. He explained to her that what had happened to her husband was not natural and was the work of evil forces. He also said that he had no idea on how to deal with this evil and recommended that they seek the help of a friend of his. They then contacted this man whom the shaman had recommended and set a meeting with him. During this time the husband's health was going south very quickly and the doctors told him that it seemed the heart attack had been only the beginning of his health problems, but they couldn't explain where the other problems were coming from. When the family finally met with the man who the shaman had recommended, the first thing he mentioned were skinwalkers. The man told the family that he had personal knowledge that the witch had knowledge of evil ways and was able to bribe the skinwalkers into doing her bidding. He suggested that the whole family meet in the graveyard the next night to reverse the evil which was brought upon the family. The woman who is friends with my aunt was completely skeptical of the whole story, but she decided she would follow through with what this man wanted in order to comfort her mom. The next night the family met with the man in the graveyard, who soon began saying a prayer. The family watched in disbelief as the man fell to his knees and began digging in the ground. About a foot deep into the ground he began to pull out an object. As more of this object was exposed the family realized that this was a picture of their family which had been located inside their home for years. As the man dug deeper her began to pull out more personal family items. Pictures, children's clothes, and heirlooms which had been passed down within the family. The man then explained that the witch had performed a ritual in which she presented the skinwalkers with one object belonging to each member of the family so that the skinwalkers would hunt down and destroy the family one by one. The man then suggested that they say a prayer to reverse this curse and protect them from the skinwalkers. After the ritual was over, the family traveled to the hospital to reveal to the husband what had just happened. As soon as they arrived that found that the husband was in perfect health. The doctors were mystified as to what could have happened. Later, after the husband was released from the hospital, the family tried to contact the man again to thank him for what he had done. The number was disconnected and every letter they tried to mail had a ret
urn to sender on it. They never saw the man again.
