  1. in my hometown i live in the historical district. the houses aren't really too old most of them were built in the early 19OO's. a family friend of ours lived a couple of blocks down from our street and she asked my cousin to house sit for her and look after her cats for the weekend. she's an older and very superstitious mexican woman and tried to warn my cousin about the spirits in the house. she told him how it was haunted but as long as you were respectful of the ghosts in the house they wouldnt do anything to harm you and were in fact quite friendly. my cousin has a very scientific way of thinking of things and doesn't believe in ghosts or things of that nature.

i went over to the house to keep him company and watch movies and asked him if he was nervous about what she had told him. he went on to say "no. fuck the spirits. it's all bullshit. that woman's just crazy." now with the way i grew up i was taught to just not ever fuck with ghosts or anything "unknown" and just be respectful. i KNEW this was bad news and took off after he went on that rant cause i didnt want to have anything to do with any of that. the next morning he comes pounding at our door shaking and practically in tears because of what happened to him once i left.

he said he would hear noises and things moving but he just shrugged it off as the cats just making that noise. he slept in the guests bedroom which was really simply decorated with just an old stand up mirror a dresser and the king size ed. he said while he was trying to sleep he would hear heavy breathing but had convinced himself it was just his imagination. he eventually went to sleep and had the worst nightmares about being trapped in his body but having demons being in complete control.

when he woke up the entire room was flipped around. the bed he was sleeping in was on the opposite side of the room the dresser was blocking the door and the mirror was aligned perfectly to where he was laying on the bed that as soon as he popped up he would stare into the mirror.

needless to say he didnt finish out the weekend house sitting job.
